“But if I say, ‘I will not mention him or speak anymore in his name, his word is in my heart like a fire, a fire shut up in my bones. I am weary of holding it in; indeed, I cannot.” Jeremiah 20:9

The Verve drama ministry at Metro exists to amplify the drama of the human experience, as it relates to our common spiritual, physical, psychological, and social needs.

“Verve” means energy, enthusiasm, and spirit, especially in the creative arts. Verve Drama was designed to “reclaim” the arts for God — to show people that He is the Father of all creativity, and reflect that creativity to all. Our mission is to dramatize the human experience, as God interacts with it. Our theme scripture, printed at the top, is Jeremiah 20:9. That fire, or passion, expresses itself in a variety of ways in our lives, as we’ve learned to be more expressive onstage and off. Just as we stress the importance of losing ourselves to Christ onstage, we stress the importance of being Godly examples in our offstage lives. The flame of our logo represents that fire, that passion, and so our colors are red and black, as a flame. Our theme song is “Light the Fire.”
