Metro’s 15th Annual Ft. Wilderness Camp-out
From: Valerie Morton
Metro’s 15th Annual Ft. Wilderness Camp-out is almost here! Hopefully your family is excited & ready to have fun! To help you plan your weekend, attached is an activities schedule as well as a “Metro Camp-Out Info” sheet for those who are new to the camp-out (see attachments at the bottom of this email- note: each one has 2 pages.)
If you’re sharing your site with another family, please forward this email to them since their email address would not have been on the registration.
Check-in is 1 pm, though you may enter Ft. Wilderness any time on check-in day and use the amenities until your site is ready. When checking in @ Ft Wilderness, tell them you’re with the Metro Church Group and they’ll give you your site # (if the site is not in loops 1500, 1600 or 1800, please call me right away at 407-353-7042). Also, please remember that only one car may be parked at your site (additional cars may be parked in the main parking lot).
Make sure to stop by the “Hospitality Site” at site 1631, hosted by the Men’s & Women’s Ministry Leaders (Steve Martin & Alyse Hipes). You’re welcome to stop by & pick up sidewalk chalk to write your family name on your campsite, see the list with site numbers of the other Metro families, and enjoy a morning cup of coffee.
Our Chili dinner will have a new twist this year; The “Chili Crawl” is scheduled for Saturday at 5:00pm around the 1600 loop. If you’re willing to make chili for this event, please contact Steve Martin at email@example.com as soon as possible.
If you have any questions, feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 407-353-7042.
Looking forward to a weekend of great fellowship & fun!
(PS-special thanks to Debi Buchan who planned and prepared the attached Metro Activities & who will be coordinating the camp-out beginning next year!)
Looking forward to another fun camp out!
